Overview

Dorato Resources Inc. is a mineral exploration company focused on the highly prospective Northern Peru Cu-Au Belt, stretching from southern Cajamarca province north into the Cordillera del Condor, and into Ecuador. This has been an important gold-bearing district since pre-Incan times, and hosts some of the largest gold-copper deposits in South America.

In the Cordillera del Condor, modern exploration on the Ecuadorian side of the border has successfully delineated a number of world-class gold and copper deposits including Kinross Gold's Fruta del Norte gold deposit with inferred resources of 13.6 million contained ounces of gold averaging 7.23 g/t gold. The Peruvian portion of the Cordillera, while sharing key geological features and stratigraphy, has remained almost entirely unexplored - until now.

Dorato, through a series of option agreements, has the right to wholly acquire an extensive land package of approximately 1,050 square kilometers comprising 135 kilometers strike length - providing the Company with a highly strategic position in this emergent gold district.

In Cajamarca, Dorato has an option to acquire 100% of the Deborah property. The property is nestled between several major ore deposits including Anglo American's Michiquillay Copper-Gold Porphyry, located 6 kilometres to the southwest (631MT of 0.69% copper, 0.15 g/t gold, and 0.02% moly) and China Minmetals and Jiangxi Copper Corp's El Galeno Copper-Gold Porphyry, located 6 kilometres to the north (661MT of 0.50% copper, 0.12 g/t gold).
