Globally, the Cordillera del Condor is one of the most prospective and underexplored gold-copper belts. The Ecuadorian portion of the belt has emerged as a world-class minerals district hosting:
- Kinross Gold Corp.'s multi-million ounce Fruta del Norte gold-silver deposit;
- Corriente Resources Inc.'s Mirador copper-gold porphyry district projects;
- Dynasty Metals & Mining Inc.'s Jerusalem gold deposit in the Chinapintza District;
- and the Nambija district with several million ounces of historic gold production.
The Peruvian portion of the belt host the same permissive stratigraphy but is essentially unexplored.
